(from Newsnotes Vol. 20-No.41 October 12, 2006)
First I have to make a correction from the previous update: Victoria's Population is NOT approx. 1,400. Victoria's population is approx. 1,200.
The fourteen of us have been welcomed into the greater community with open arms. "The Marked Men for Christ" (an organization started by a Capuchin) hosted us at Walker Lake, for an afternoon of boating, and a very generous cookout! We can still do these activities here, as the weather has allowed for temp's in the 90's!
Though, I think, the five of us missed being in the Province for the Solemnity of St. Francis and Fraternity Day ~ we certainly had a joyous celebration here at Saint Fidelis Friary. You all were held in prayer.
We are just about at the half-way point of our time here in Kansas. Please continue to keep us in prayer, and know that you~all are in ours!
